Roig Arena Enhances Its Acoustic Experience with a New Sound System from d&b audiotechnik

d&b audiotechnik and Roig Arena have reached a partnership agreement under which the professional sound solutions specialist becomes an Operational Partner of the venue. As part of this collaboration, the Valencia arena has been equipped with a permanent d&b sound system designed to deliver a world-class acoustic experience across the venue’s extensive programme of concerts, sporting events and international shows.

The installation incorporates systems from d&b audiotechnik’s SL, A and CL Series, and its versatility has already been demonstrated at two highly demanding events: Valencia Basket’s second Liga title celebration and Rod Stewart’s concert on June 30, the British artist’s only performance in Spain in 2026 and the first major international show held at the venue using d&b audiotechnik’s permanent solution.

Adaptive technology for every venue configuration

With a capacity of up to 20,000 people for concerts and more than 15,000 spectators for sporting events, Roig Arena is a highly versatile venue whose configuration changes according to the type of event. To meet these requirements, the venue has incorporated a combination of systems designed to ensure consistent sound coverage throughout the arena.

“Roig Arena was conceived from the very beginning with a clear objective: to offer the best possible acoustic experience. To achieve this, we focused both on sound quality inside the venue and on acoustic isolation from the outside environment. The addition of this d&b solution represents another step forward in that commitment, enhancing sonic performance and enabling us to guarantee a consistent, high-quality sound experience in every seat throughout the venue,” explains Paül Mollà, Technology and Operations Director at Roig Arena.

A permanent system tailored to a multifunctional venue

The d&b audiotechnik installation forms part of the venue’s permanent infrastructure and remains integrated within the roof structure when not in use. This significantly reduces event setup times, streamlines operations and maximises venue flexibility.

Coverage is further optimised through d&b’s ArrayProcessing technology, which adapts sound distribution to the specific configuration of each event. A custom-developed rigging solution enabled seamless integration of the system and rapid installation, minimising intervention times in a technically complex venue.

The installation also includes d&b audiotechnik’s latest-generation amplification technology, designed to deliver maximum performance with lower energy consumption. Upcoming events include concerts by artists such as Pet Shop Boys, Chayanne, Judas Priest and Bryan Adams, as well as top-level sporting competitions such as Project B, the new international touring basketball league.
