Eva Ayllón Celebrates Afro-Peruvian Music at the Roig Arena Auditorium Hall
The artist, also known as the “Queen of Landó”, performed the greatest hits of a career spanning more than five decades.
The concert was preceded by performances from Los Entre Patas and Lita Pezo.
Peruvian singer Eva Ayllón performed tonight at the Roig Arena Auditorium Hall, taking the audience on a journey through the greatest hits of an artistic career spanning more than five decades. Regarded as one of the most iconic voices in Afro-Peruvian and Creole music, the artist once again demonstrated on stage why she is internationally known as the “Queen of Landó”.
Eva Ayllón’s concert was preceded by performances from Los Entre Patas, a Peruvian cumbia band based in Spain that blends traditional cumbia sounds with urban rhythms, as well as Lita Pezo, a young Peruvian Latin pop singer.
At around 9:30 p.m., Eva Ayllón took to the stage at the Valencia venue to kick off the European leg of her “¡Que viva el Perú!” tour. During the concert, Ayllón performed some of the most celebrated songs from her repertoire, combining classics of Peruvian Creole music with Afro-Peruvian compositions that have helped spread this cultural heritage beyond her country’s borders.
Songs such as “Mal Paso”, “Ritmo, Color y Sabor” and “Esta es mi Tierra” formed part of a show full of rhythm, emotion and tradition, allowing the audience to experience the musical richness that has made the artist one of the leading ambassadors of Peruvian culture worldwide.
