American singer-songwriter Macy Gray will perform at the Roig Arena Auditorium Hall on 15 December as part of her “The Trouble With The Truth Tour”, continuing a career that has established her as one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary R&B and soul.
Born in Ohio, Macy Gray burst onto the international music scene in 1999 with “On How Life Is”, an album that sold millions of copies worldwide and cemented her status as one of the defining voices of her generation. Her unmistakable vocal style and her blend of soul, R&B, jazz and pop have allowed her to build a career defined by authenticity and artistic individuality.
Over more than two decades, Gray has released numerous albums and earned some of the music industry's most prestigious recognitions. Nominated for five Grammy Awards, she won Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for “I Try”, the song that propelled her to international stardom. In addition, she has received two Brit Awards and collaborated with artists from different generations and genres, including Ariana Grande.
