British Band Squeeze Will Launch The Second Leg of Their European Tour at the Roig Arena Auditorium on March 14

British band Squeeze will perform at the Roig Arena Auditorium Hall on March 14. The concert will mark the start of the second leg of their European tour, “Tried, Tested and Trixies”, which will also visit other cities in Spain, France, the Netherlands and Germany. It will also represent the band's long-awaited return to Spanish stages after more than five decades without performing in the country.

During the tour, Squeeze will present songs from “Trixies”, their first studio album in more than eight years and, paradoxically, the first one they ever wrote. Released in March 2026, the album traces its origins back to the early 1970s, when Chris Difford, then 19, and Glenn Tilbrook, just 16, imagined a collection of songs and stories set in a fictional pub. At the time, their creative ambitions exceeded the resources and experience needed to bring the project to life. More than half a century later, the discovery of the original cassette demo enabled them to revisit those compositions and complete the album they had dreamed of as teenagers.

Alongside the songs from “Trixies”, the band boasts a catalogue of tracks that have become part of British pop history, including “Up The Junction”, “Tempted”, “Cool For Cats” and “Labelled With Love”.

Squeeze is widely regarded as one of the most respected bands in British pop history, led by the creative partnership of Glenn Tilbrook and Chris Difford. Their legacy, built over more than five decades, has inspired artists and bands from different generations, including Lily Allen and The Killers. After a period during which both musicians focused on their solo projects, Tilbrook and Difford reunited in 2007 for a series of concerts that ultimately revived the band. Since then, Squeeze has continued to expand its discography with releases such as “Cradle To The Grave” (2015), their first album of new material in 17 years, and “The Knowledge” (2017). Now, “Trixies” adds a new chapter to a story that began 53 years ago.
