The Roig Arena conducts its first test by organizing an internal event for 10,000 people
The trial served to test all areas, including ticketing, security, catering, maintenance, technology, and production, among others.
The event ended with a concert by Seguridad Social.
Roig Arena, the future multi-purpose venue in Valencia spearheaded by Juan Roig, held its first operational test last night by hosting an internal event attended by 10,000 people.
Most of the attendees were employees of Mercadona and the various initiatives of Juan Roig’s Legacy, companies involved in the construction of the venue, residents of neighboring buildings, as well as members of different institutions and technical services.
Guests were able to experience what a typical event day at Roig Arena will be like: using the parking facilities, entering the venue through the access control, enjoying food and drinks in the dining areas (El Mercat and Ultramarinos Roig), and attending a musical performance from both the stands and the floor.
The internal event, held yesterday from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., featured the venue’s large screens in operation (including the 76-meter-long videowall, the scoreboard, and the ribbon board), a performance by singer Sandra Valero, and concluded with a concert by Seguridad Social.
“The goal of this operational test was to evaluate all the areas involved in any event held at the venue, so we can learn and improve. I want to thank the 10,000 people who attended this rehearsal, which has been of great value to us and whose outcome has been very positive. We still have all of August to continue our internal run-up to the opening in September,” said Víctor Sendra, General Manager of Roig Arena.
