The Roig Arena is beginning lighting tests on the 8,600 slats surrounding its façade ahead of its opening in September.

The system consists of LED lighting installed on each of the ceramic slats on the façade. The lighting is projected onto the slats, allowing high-resolution content to be created.

All the lighting is controlled from a 4K processor that allows coordinated lighting to be generated along the façade, even adding the large 300m2 screen, known as ‘El Ojo’ (The Eye). Thanks to this technology, the Roig Arena will be able to display content on its façade, usually in the moments leading up to an event being held inside.

The system and configuration of the lighting on the venue's façade have been developed by SACO Technologies, which is responsible for several projects around the world, such as the ‘Sphere’ in Las Vegas and the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
