Portuguese singer Salvador Sobral will perform at the Roig Arena Auditorium Hall on May 23 as part of his “A Flor do Recomeço” tour. The artist, who rose to worldwide fame after winning the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest with the ballad “Amar pelos dois”, has built a career centered on jazz and a constant search for new sounds through the fusion of different musical genres. His latest album, “A Flor do Recomeço”, is a clear reflection of that approach, featuring songs written exclusively by Brazilian composers.
Recorded in São Paulo and produced by Brazilians Marcus Preto and Tó Brandileone, the album brings together previously unreleased songs by renowned songwriters such as Adriana Calcanhotto, Chico César, and Marcelo Camelo. The project represents a personal return to Sobral’s musical roots, shaped from an early age by the Brazilian music he discovered through his parents. Accompanied by outstanding musicians, the singer interprets these compositions through his own artistic identity, resulting in a cohesive album that preserves the unique essence of each song.
