Roig Arena Welcomes More Than 1.7 Million People In Its First Year of Activity

Roig Arena, Valencia's multi-purpose venue promoted by Juan Roig and designed by ERRE, celebrates its first year of activity having established itself as one of Europe's leading indoor venues. Since its inauguration on September 6, 2025, with the tribute concert “Bravo, Nino”, Roig Arena has welcomed more than 1.7 million attendees across 310 events, through a programme that has included Valencia Basket games, major concerts, entertainment shows and corporate events.

Music has been one of the venue's main driving forces during its first year. A total of 800,000 people attended the 125 concerts held at Roig Arena, with 710,000 spectators attending events in the main arena and 90,000 in the Auditorium Hall. Thanks to this programme, the venue has helped position Valencia on the regular circuit of major national and international tours, becoming a strategic stop for some of today's most prominent artists.

Among all concerts, Quevedo drew the venue's largest audience, bringing together more than 19,000 attendees on October 25, 2025. Roig Arena's international reach has been reflected in a programme featuring global stars such as Pet Shop Boys, Hans Zimmer, Ed Sheeran, Rod Stewart (his only date in Spain), 5 Seconds of Summer, Chayanne, André Rieu, Camilo, Laura Pausini, Rawayana and The Waterboys. The venue has also hosted renowned events such as LOS40 Music Awards, featuring performances by artists including Ed Sheeran and Rosalía.

During the year, Roig Arena also welcomed tours by leading Spanish artists and bands including Manuel Carrasco, Rosalía, Joaquín Sabina, David Bisbal, Aitana, Dani Fernández, Viva Suecia, Fito & Fitipaldis, Mónica Naranjo, Loquillo, Pablo Alborán, Amaia and Dani Martín, who currently holds the record for the highest number of scheduled performances at the venue (May 8 and 9, as well as October 10 and 11).

The Roig Arena Auditorium Hall has also established itself as a complementary space for both emerging artists and established acts seeking a more intimate format. During its first year, it hosted performances by Rusowsky, La M.O.D.A., Taburete, Celtas Cortos, Delaossa, Roa and Clarent, as well as internationally acclaimed bands such as Biffy Clyro, The Psychedelic Furs, The Cat Empire and Suede.

The diversity of genres, formats and audiences has been one of the hallmarks of this inaugural season. Roig Arena has built a broad programme capable of attracting a wide range of audiences and turning the venue into a new meeting point for music and entertainment in Valencia, receiving an overwhelmingly positive response. A total of 55 concerts sold out during this first year, representing 44% of all concerts held. This interest is also reflected on Roig Arena's social media channels, which now total 350,000 followers.

The response has also been remarkable within the music industry: nearly 90 national and international promoters have already trusted Roig Arena to host concerts. This support from the industry, audiences and fans is reinforced by a strong future calendar: more than 90 concerts have already been announced, 12 of them already sold out; Valencia Basket will continue to play its men's and women's first-team Liga and EuroLeague games at the venue; and nearly 50 corporate events are scheduled. In addition, Roig Arena is backed by 22 sponsors, including six Founding Partners: Pamesa, Heineken, Mapfre, Iberdrola, CaixaBank and Coca-Cola.

International rankings

Roig Arena's rapid consolidation during its first year has also been reflected in key industry rankings. The prestigious trade publication Pollstar placed the Valencia venue among the world's Top 10 arenas for ticket sales in its February, March, April, May and July reports. Meanwhile, the publication ranked the Auditorium Hall as Spain's highest-grossing concert venue in terms of ticket sales.

In addition, IQ Magazine selected Roig Arena as one of the world's 20 leading live entertainment venues in the first edition of its IQ Arena Stars ranking, compiled by professionals and leaders from the music and entertainment industries.

Valencia Basket, a cornerstone of Roig Arena's activity

On October 3, 2025, Valencia Basket played its first game at Roig Arena, beginning a new chapter in the club's history after moving from La Fonteta to its new home. Since then, the venue has become home to both the men's and women's first teams, which enjoyed major successes during their first season, including winning the Liga Endesa (ACB), Men's Super Cup, reaching the Men's EuroLeague Final Four, and winning both the Women's League and the Queen's Cup.

The men's team recorded an average attendance of 12,445 spectators per game and achieved the venue's first sell-out crowd, with 15,600 fans attending Game 5 of the EuroLeague quarter-final series against Panathinaikos. The women's team, meanwhile, achieved the highest attendance in its history during Game 2 of the Women's League final against Casademont Zaragoza, with 7,647 spectators.

Valencia Basket has played a total of 70 games at Roig Arena, attracting 668,000 spectators. In addition, the venue hosted the Copa del Rey, which welcomed more than 100,000 attendees over four days of competition and will return to Valencia from February 18 to 21, 2027.

Roig Arena's versatility drives corporate activity

The venue's versatility and adaptability have also made it a benchmark for the corporate sector. Since opening, Roig Arena has hosted nearly one hundred business and institutional events of varying sizes and formats, making use of its diverse spaces beyond the main arena and Auditorium Hall, including the Garden Room, Gallery Room, terraces and hospitality suites.

More than 40,000 attendees connected to corporate events have visited Roig Arena during its first year. Highlights include the event supporting the Mediterranean Corridor, AECOC, the charitable event “Alcem-se”, the Pamesa-led “Cerámica Experience”, as well as various medical and industry congresses. In October, the venue also hosted the 2025 European Arenas Association Assembly, attended by senior executives from Europe's 30 leading arenas.

Food and beverage offering, a key differentiator

Operating 365 days a year, Roig Arena's food and beverage programme has become one of the cornerstones of the visitor experience. In addition to El Mercat, the venue features two differentiated dining concepts: Poble Nou, specialising in Valencian cuisine and welcoming 36,000 diners during its first year, and Ultramarinos Roig, a more informal concept focused on tapas and daily specials, which served nearly 34,000 customers during the same period.

The culinary programme is led by renowned chef Miguel Martí, who has designed an offering that combines quality, local produce and a wide variety of options for all tastes.

Roig Arena currently employs more than 250 full-time staff and nearly 700 temporary employees, contributing to job creation and economic activity in Valencia and the Valencian Community.

Víctor Sendra, General Manager of Roig Arena, stated: “Thanks to our patron, Juan Roig, Valencia now has a venue that, just one year later, has demonstrably positioned itself as a benchmark at both national and international level. Having a clear model and maintaining a strong focus on users and quality has been key, and the main objective of every area within our team. The dedication of the entire team, together with our ability to quickly adapt and implement improvements, is what has driven this outstanding attendance response.”

"We are extremely pleased with the positive response we have observed over these 12 months from event promoters, companies that have placed their trust in us and, in general, Valencian society, which sees this project as something necessary that is helping position Valencia, the Valencian Community and Spain within the global entertainment industry, while also contributing a technological component of the highest level," he added.
