Roig Arena To Host the FMS International Grand Final, the World's Biggest Freestyle Rap Event, on May 8

Urban Roosters, the largest Spanish-speaking hip hop community, is bringing an Freestyle Master Series (FMS) International Grand Final back to Spain. The event will take place on Saturday, May 8, at Roig Arena, returning to the venue after hosting an FMS World Series stop last December.

The event brings together the world's best freestylers and returns to Europe for the first time since Gazir's triumph in 2021. This time, reigning three-time champion Aczino will defend his title against the best MCs from Spain, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Argentina and other Spanish-speaking countries.

The best FMS MCs will travel to Valencia

The competition will begin with exciting matchups leading into knockout rounds, where contestants will battle for survival in their quest to become the most complete freestyle rapper of the year.

The top two competitors from the upcoming national FMS leagues in Spain, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Argentina and Peru will compete at Roig Arena. Aczino and 12 representatives of hip hop culture will be present at the event. In addition, three remaining spots will be announced at a later date.

Since the launch of FMS Spain in 2017, Valencia has played a significant role in the competition's history. That first season featured the seventh matchday, including a showdown between Chuty and Skone. In 2018, the city hosted the national final, highlighted by Arkano's farewell.

In 2019, Valencia welcomed the first international qualifying event, featuring iconic battles such as Aczino vs. MKS and Bnet vs. Stigma, which gained worldwide attention. Following the pandemic, the city hosted another FMS International qualifier in 2022, including standout clashes such as Papo vs. Lobo Estepario.

In 2024, FMS Spain returned to Valencia with battles including Chuty vs. Zasko and one of the most memorable matchups in recent years, Gazir vs. Navas. Most recently, the city hosted the opening event of the second season of the FMS World Series at Roig Arena, drawing 8,000 spectators and featuring celebrated battles such as Lokillo vs. Sara Socas and Aczino vs. Jony Beltrán.
