TIIM Experiences Bring Together Rozalén, Sole Giménez And Leading Figures In Music Tourism In Valencia

  • The event will analyze Valencia’s potential in this field, and on the same day, the TIIM Awards will be presented.

  • This is a project by the Association of Music Producers of the Valencian Community (MusicaProCV) with the collaboration of Turisme Comunitat Valenciana, València Music City, PROMFEST, FOTUR and Roig Arena.

The first edition of TIIM Experiences will gather in Valencia renowned artists such as Rozalén and Soledad Giménez, as well as key figures in music tourism. The aim of these meetings is to strengthen the positioning of the Valencian Community as a national and international benchmark in this cultural, economic and social field. The event will take place on Wednesday, December 10 at Roig Arena.

The project follows in the footsteps of the TIIM Conferences (Tourism & Music Industry), launched in October 2019. Those meetings helped define strategic lines for the development of music tourism and featured leading voices in the sector. Over six years, Valencia, Castellón de la Plana and Benidorm hosted dozens of professionals to explore the synergies between music and tourism to foster territorial development.

This year, the initiative will have two facets: TIIM Experiences, featuring well-known performers and industry agents; and the TIIM Awards, which will recognize the best destinations and tourism projects related to music. TIIM is made possible thanks to the efforts of the Association of Music Producers of the Valencian Community (MusicaProCV) with the collaboration of Turisme Comunitat Valenciana, València Music City and other entities such as the Association of Festival Promoters of the Valencian Community (PROMFEST), the Federation of Leisure, Tourism and Gaming of the Valencian Community (FOTUR) and Roig Arena.

TIIM Experiences Program

Activities will begin at 9:30 AM. The opening session will feature José Manuel Camarero, Regional Secretary of Tourism, and Sergi Almiñana, President of MusicaProCV. Afterwards, the round table “Valencia as a hub for music tourism” will take place, with contributions from Juan Pablo Valero, General Director of València Music City strategy; Daniel Molina, manager of promoter Just Life Music; Natalia Briales, head of cultural tourism at Turespaña; and Manuel Rojo, head of institutional relations at BIME (Bilbao).

After a coffee break, activities will resume at 11:30 AM, focusing on initiatives that have turned music into a driver of tourism development. One example is Leturalma, “the most beautiful festival of the summer.” To learn more about this event held in Letur (Albacete) to raise awareness about depopulation, singer Rozalén, promoter Territorio Musical director Ángel Sierra, and festival director Sonia Araque will participate. Both round tables will be moderated by music journalist and presenter Arturo Paniagua.

The first edition of TIIM Experiences will conclude at 1:30 PM with the meeting “Sole Giménez: legacy and voice of a Mediterranean music legend.” In this session, the acclaimed artist will converse with journalist and writer Rafa Cervera. It should be noted that Sole Giménez will receive the TIIM Awards Legend Prize, which will be presented that same evening, December 10.

The Awards

The TIIM Legend Award will pay tribute to a figure with a long and consolidated career who has been essential in developing the relationship between music and territory. In the case of Sole Giménez, the organization also wanted to highlight her commitment to the Valencian Community and its people.

This will be one of seven awards presented at the gala. The other categories will recognize the best initiatives of the year in the following areas: Music Destination; Music Destination in the Valencian Community; Music Event; Music Tourism Initiative; Innovation in Music Tourism; and Sustainable Project in Music Tourism. Tickets for the event will be available to the public soon.
