The Waterboys Deliver A Memorable Concert At Roig Arena Auditorium
The band will return to the Valencian venue on December 5 and on September 3, 2026, the latter with a larger-capacity show.
“Glastonbury Song,” “How Long Will I Love You,” and “The Whole of the Moon” were among the songs performed during the concert.
With all tickets sold out, The Waterboys offered tonight the first of two scheduled concerts at Roig Arena Auditorium. The evening began with performances by Valencian pop band Atlàntic and indie-folk girlband The Deep Blue, who entertained the audience while waiting for the main act.
Around 9 p.m., The Waterboys stormed the stage with their trademark energy and passion, proving why they are one of the most established folk-rock bands. With a setlist that blended iconic material with tracks from their latest album "Life, Death and Dennis Hopper"—inspired by the life of the famous American actor—The Waterboys connected instantly with their Valencian audience, who sang along with Scott from the very first moment.

The concert opened with “Glastonbury Song,” a track about spiritual quest, and “How Long Will I Love You,” a declaration of unconditional love. It was followed by the Celtic folk of “Fisherman’s Blues” and the transformative message of “This Is the Sea.” From "Life, Death and Dennis Hopper", songs such as “Kansas,” “Live in the Moment, Baby,” “The Tourist,” “Michelle,” and “Hoppers on Top” were featured.
After two hours of music, the band closed the night as expected: with “The Whole of the Moon,” their most iconic track, which speaks about the ability to see beyond what is obvious. This farewell will be short-lived, as The Waterboys will return to the Auditorium on December 5. Moreover, the band has chosen the Valencian venue for their only concert in Spain in 2026. They will be back on September 3 with a larger-capacity show to pay tribute to one of their most representative albums: "Fisherman’s Blues" (1988). This project will be complemented by three new albums featuring recordings from the same era, as announced by the band.
