  • Valencia has been an essential place in the career of the vocalist, who has also participated in several charity concerts in support of those affected by the DANA storms.

Singer and songwriter Sole Giménez will receive the Legend Award at the first edition of the TIIM Awards. This award pays tribute to a figure with a long and distinguished career who has played a fundamental role in strengthening the link between music and territory. In this case, the organization wanted to highlight the artist’s commitment to the Valencian Community and its people.

This will be one of seven awards presented at the gala, which will take place on Wednesday, December 10, at Roig Arena in Valencia. The other categories will recognize the best initiatives of the year in the following areas: Musical Destination; Musical Destination in the Valencian Community; Musical Event; Musical Tourism Initiative; Innovation in Music Tourism; and Sustainable Music Tourism Project. Tickets for the event will be available to the public soon.

Sole Giménez was part of the group Presuntos Implicados, one of the most popular Valencian bands of the 1980s and 1990s, alongside Seguridad Social, Revolver, and Los Inhumanos. The band sold more than three million albums and toured extensively. After releasing "Postales" (2005), the tenth album by Presuntos Implicados, the singer decided to pursue her solo career.

Since then, Sole Giménez has developed her work as a songwriter ("La felicidad", 2008); paid tribute to Latin American authors ("Dos Gardenias", 2008), Spanish composers ("Pequeñas cosas", 2009), and French music ("El cielo de París", 2010); and revived the legacy of women composers (the two volumes of "Mujeres de Música", 2019 and 2021). In all these works, she has showcased her vocal richness, capable of embracing styles such as Latin jazz, bossa nova, swing, bolero, son, and chacarera, among others.

Valencia’s stages have hosted some of Sole Giménez’s most memorable performances. In addition, the artist has participated in several charity concerts to support people affected by the DANA storms.

Her talent has been recognized on numerous occasions with awards such as two Ondas Music Awards, an Amigo Award, and a Golden Microphone, among others. She has also been nominated twice for the Latin Grammy Awards. Since December 2024, Sole Giménez has served as president of the Spanish Music Academy (ACAMUS), after receiving 85% of the votes cast by its members.
