Roig Arena to Host the New Global Basketball Tournament Project B
Valencia will be the only Spanish city to host this new worldwide competition, which will travel through Asia, Europe and the Americas starting in 2027.
The competition at Roig Arena will take place from 12 to 22 March next year.

Project B and Roig Arena have signed an agreement to make the city one of the global host venues for their new international basketball tournament, a travelling competition that will bring together some of the best male and female players in the world from 12 to 22 March under an innovative Grand Prix-style format.
The agreement makes Valencia the only Spanish city to host this new global event, which will be held in major cities across Asia, Europe and the Americas. The date at Roig Arena also marks the first official announcement of the tournament in Europe, following the earlier confirmation that Tokyo will be one of the host cities for the global circuit, which will begin in 2027.
Project B is developing a high‑impact, travelling league designed to offer basketball fans worldwide an elite experience in international host cities. The format will combine top‑level competition with a strong technological and audiovisual component.
The tournament is designed to integrate top-tier live competitions with cutting‑edge technology through streaming, social media and mobile devices, expanding its global reach and connecting with new audiences.
Valencia has been chosen both for its basketball tradition and for its commitment to state‑of‑the‑art infrastructure. Roig Arena features more than 1,700 square metres of LED screens, positioning it as one of the most technologically advanced venues in Europe.
A multi‑year collaboration in Valencia
Roig Arena will host Project B thanks to a multi‑year collaboration agreement that reflects a commitment to building a long‑term joint project. It is a strategic partnership designed to establish the city as a recurring global stage for elite international basketball.
“The alliance with Project B to host this new tournament is another step towards Roig Arena having the sports and entertainment content we aim for: global and offering unique experiences. Being the only confirmed venue in Spain, sharing the spotlight with cities like Tokyo, is a milestone for both us and the city of Valencia. We believe Project B brings an innovative concept with a very ambitious global reach,” says Víctor Sendra, General Manager of Roig Arena.
By committing to Valencia for several years, Project B strengthens its belief in the city’s basketball culture, its infrastructure and its global relevance, ensuring sustained visibility and continuity as the Grand Prix international circuit grows.
“Valencia’s basketball culture and global ambition align perfectly with Project B,” says Grady Burnett, Chief Operating Officer of Project B. “Our collaboration with Roig Arena will allow us to generate significant impact on the economy, the community and local fans for many years to come.”
According to Project B, Spain is considered one of the great basketball powerhouses in the world, and Valencia has established itself in recent years as one of Europe’s most advanced sports cities, regularly hosting top‑tier international competitions.
With the arrival of Project B, Valencia strengthens its strategic position on the global basketball map and expands its international profile as a host of major sporting events.
