La M.O.D.A. Brings Its Burgos Roots to the Roig Arena Auditorium

  • Approximately 2,000 people enjoyed the band's first concert in Valencia, which has been sold out for months.

  • The band performed tracks from their sixth album, "San Felices," as well as their most prominent hits.

Around 9:30 PM, La M.O.D.A. (an acronym for La Maravillosa Orquesta del Alcohol) took the stage at the Roig Arena Auditorium to perform for a crowd of 2,000 fans who had sold out the venue months in advance.

Dressed in their signature white t-shirts and black trousers, and accompanied as always by Conchi, their sign language interpreter, the group kicked off nearly two hours of a vibrant folk-rock blend infused with various other genres. Throughout the concert, the Burgos-based ensemble revisited songs from their sixth album, "San Felices," featuring tracks such as "Helvética," "Alsa pa Madrid," and "La vida en rosa."

However, their greatest hits were not missing from the setlist. The performance included the opening anthem from their first album, "Nómadas," the ballads "Una Canción Para No Decir Te Quiero" and "Vasos Vacíos," and the enthusiastically chanted "PRMVR." The band’s intense connection with the audience was evident through constant interaction and the collective singing of songs that draw deeply from traditional roots.

The concert concluded with the nostalgia of "1932," the hopeful anthem "Héroes del Sábado," and the tribute to returning to one's origins, "Mañana me voy a Burgos." These three songs perfectly summarize the essence of a band that proudly carries the flag of Burgos across the entire country.
