Jesús Arrúe Will Paint Bowie Live During the Tribute “10 Years Without Bowie”

Artist Jesús Arrúe will perform a live painting during the tribute “10 Years Without Bowie”, which will take place on April 30 at the Roig Arena Auditorium. Arrúe is the author of the famous Bowie mural that was nearly demolished on Beneficiencia Street in Valencia but ultimately became the first graffiti piece officially pardoned in Spain. The artwork is now exhibited at the Museo Valenciano de Etnología.

To mark the occasion, Arrúe will once again portray the British artist while, simultaneously, a concert featuring Valencian musicians pays tribute to Bowie’s music and legacy.

The concert, organized to commemorate the tenth anniversary of Bowie’s passing, will feature performances by Salva Ortiz (Presuntos Implicados, Seguridad Social), Adolfo Barberá (Glamour), Pepe Mallent (Sunken Screens), Pete Sebastián (Licence to Blow), Jorge Moreno (Falsa Pasión), Vicente Montesinos (Spy Plane), Honorio Barranco (Sunken Screens) and J.L. Macías (Glamour, Comité Cisne).
