How to Avoid Ticket Fraud

Too often, especially for high-demand events, fake tickets circulate online. To avoid losing your money and being denied access to the event, it’s essential to ensure that your ticket purchase comes from a reliable source. At Roig Arena, we offer some tips to help you avoid fraud when buying tickets:

  1. Find out which are the official sales channels and purchase your tickets only through them: www.roigarena.com and the website indicated by the concert promoter. This way, once you’ve made your purchase, you’ll receive a confirmation email that serves as proof of purchase in case any issues arise. Be cautious of fake websites that fraudulently imitate official ones, and check the ticket format. Fake tickets are often screenshots, contain typos, poorly printed logos, or QR codes that don’t work.

  2. Avoid unauthorized resale. Don’t buy tickets from people you don’t know. It’s very common for anonymous users on social media to claim they have tickets for sale for a specific event. We recommend being extremely cautious and avoiding online purchases from unknown individuals. These tickets are very likely to be fake.

  3. Be wary of suspicious prices or tickets for sold-out events. If the price is lower than the original sale price or the seller insists on closing the deal quickly, be suspicious. It’s very likely a scam. Don’t share personal or banking information with strangers or through unofficial sales channels.

“At every event hosted at Roig Arena, we ensure that every attendee has a valid ticket. Unfortunately, many people unknowingly buy resold tickets, many of which are fake. They are the ones most affected, because not only do they lose money, but they also won’t be allowed into the venue,” says Nancy Johnson, Director of Ticketing & Hospitality at Roig Arena.

So now you know: buy your tickets only from official sales points and, if you have any issues, contact customer service to resolve them. And of course, enjoy the show!
