California’s Dear Boy To Open For The Psychedelic Furs At Roig Arena
The Californian band Dear Boy will be the opening act for The Psychedelic Furs at the concert they will offer at Roig Arena Auditorium on November 22.
Dear Boy is a Los Angeles-based quartet that plays bittersweet alternative rock, rooted in both post-punk and the guitar-driven British pop of the nineties. They debuted in 2013 with a self-titled five-song EP, the first of three. Their discography also includes two albums: "Forever Sometimes" (2022), marked by melancholy, and "Celebrator" (2025), more free and hopeful.
Now, let’s remember who the headliners of this tour are. Formed in 1977 in London’s post-punk scene and led by vocalist and songwriter Richard Butler and his brother Tim, the bassist, The Psychedelic Furs quickly became one of the most important bands on college and alternative radio. Their music evolved through various phases, from austere art rock beginnings to a blend of new wave and hard rock. Along the way, they achieved a string of major hits, including “Love My Way,” “Pretty In Pink,” “Heaven,” “The Ghost In You,” and “Heartbreak Beat.”
The lineup for their visit includes: Richard Butler (vocals); Tim Butler (bass); Rico Good (guitar); Amanda Kramer (keyboards); and Zachary Alford (drums).
