The band, led by Lichis and known for blending styles like rumba, rock, and Latin music, reunited with their Valencian audience to celebrate a tribute to their entire career.
“This place is so big it’s overwhelming,” said Lichis about Roig Arena just hours before the concert. “Valencian audiences have a very developed musical sensitivity and a rich musical culture,” he added.
The concert began with one of the band’s great anthems, “Felicidad”, followed by others like “El día de tu boda” and “Carne de canción”. With sharp lyrics full of humor and a striking sound proposal, the group revisited the songs that made them part of Spanish popular culture. “La novia del marinero” also echoed through Roig Arena, a song that, two decades after its release, still retains its free spirit.
After nearly two hours of music, La Cabra Mecánica left the stage, but not before gifting the audience with the iconic “La lista de la compra”, sparking collective dancing.
“Canciones y maquetas 1993-1997”, the new album by La Cabra Mecánica
The band’s sixth album, “Canciones y maquetas 1993-1997”, is a compilation of 4-track demo recordings made by Cataldo Torelli and remastered in 2022. The new album is much more than a collection of songs; it’s a tribute to the band’s entire history. The demos, recovered by Lichis and Cataldo Torelli, reveal the group’s early steps and are a clear example of their musical evolution.
